The double beam wheel gantry crane is a type of gantry crane with a horizontal bridge structure consisting of two parallel main beams, which is supported by tires and travels on the ground without rails. The gantry structure is formed by connecting the main beam with rigid and flexible support legs, and the main beam is usually designed as a box shaped double beam to enhance stiffness; The power system is mostly driven by internal combustion engines (such as diesel engines), which use electric motors to achieve walking, lifting, and variable amplitude mechanism actions. It has good maneuverability and can flexibly turn and transfer work positions in yards and other places
Working Condition
Temperature conditions: The working temperature range of a conventional double beam gantry crane is -20 ℃ to+45 ℃. In extreme temperature environments, it is necessary to choose low-temperature equipment or install cooling systems to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Humidity and corrosive environment: The relative humidity of the working environment should be controlled at ≤ 90% (no condensation). In high salt spray and high humidity areas such as coastal ports, equipment needs to adopt anti-corrosion design, including spraying anti-corrosion paint on the surface of steel structures, selecting moisture-proof electrical components, and using hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel materials for metal parts.
Wind conditions: The working wind speed of the equipment is generally not greater than 12.5m/s (level 6 wind), and the operation needs to be stopped when the wind speed exceeds this value. In non working conditions, the equipment needs to be equipped with windproof anchoring devices, and the maximum non working wind speed that can be tolerated needs to be determined according to the model and region.
Other environmental restrictions: The work area should avoid excessive dust and flammable and explosive gases. In dusty areas, dust covers need to be installed for motors and control cabinets; In flammable and explosive environments, explosion-proof electrical equipment should be selected.
